I just stumbled upon this photo of my nephews  Kairron and Rafael in PaoPao‘s facebook page.  They just look simply adorable. This was taken during my wedding and I can’t help but smile seeing these 2 naughty kids together. Hahaha! I just love these kids to bits. :)

Have a happy playful Sunday!

i am beyond blessed.

Happy. Excited. Nervous. Oh joy! I actually don’t know what to feel but I am extremely happy! :) My husband and I have been really praying for a baby, and because God is an answering-prayer God, He grants our heart’s desires. Thank you, Jesus!

I am still overwhelmed. :)

Baby, I love you more than I could ever tell you. You are a source of joy and inspiration to me and to your dad. :) Enjoy the 9 months inside my tummy, and we just can’t wait to see you soon.

for some, it’s just about the money.

Jay and I went to BPI Ayala today to open an account. The lady in the new accounts department gave us the forms to fill out and was asking for the photocopy of the requirements. Unfortunately, we left our marriage contract at home so she told us to come back tomorrow. We asked her if we can just submit the copy tomorrow as we didn’t have enough time for today. The lady was telling us about audits and all, and said it was impossible and they could not open the account today unless all requirements are present. Period. But when she found out the amount that we were about to deposit initially, they (the lady and her boss/other staff) said it was okay. We can submit the copy tomorrow. Everything just turned 360 degrees.

(This was Jay’s look when we were told to come back again tomorrow. Haha!)

For some people, it’s just all about the money. (sorry Jessie J) This world isn’t just fair. I am just relieved knowing my God is fair and just. He judges not by the amount of money you have in the bank nor by how many houses you have built. He looks at the heart and that’s what matters to him. :) The world may be unfair, but it’s God’s justice and favors that prevail.  (For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. – Psalm 5:12)

On a happier note, today is also my brother-in-law’s birthday. For lunch we had pizza and a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken! Happiness in simple things. :) There are always reasons to be grateful and hopeful. :)

Have a happy weekend! :)

just to get to where you are

I had an unbelievably tiring day. My friend, chyll, and I agreed to visit NBI today. She was coming all the way from Argao to the city just for the NBI clearance. I arrived at around 7am and was told all 1000 (one thousand) forms have been given away, and asked us to come back tomorrow. One of the officers informed us that they are only entertaining 1,000 people per day and no more priority numbers will be given nor will there be any appointments to be scheduled. And all I could tell myself was “WHAAATTT!!???”. It just sucks big time!

My friend and I then decided to go to Tuburan instead to get our NBI clearance. We heard from friends that it is much easier and faster to get clearance from Tuburan. Both of us neither know the place, but then off we go! Haha! We just went to the North Bus Terminal and asked around what bus was going to Tuburan. We thought the travel time was only an hour and a half but was surprised to have reached the place after 4 hours. Yes, that is 4 (four) hours inside a non-air conditioned, full of passengers minibus and exposed to the excruciating heat of the sun.

When we finally reached our destination we were very surprised and impressed that it only took us not more than 10 minutes to finish everything (filling out the form, payment, photo and releasing of the clearance).

Now I wonder why it would take so long for NBI Cebu to get our clearance processed. I badly need an explanation!! Sigh. Where have all our taxes and payments gone? It’s just plainly unreasonable and unacceptable! We crossed countless mountains and seas just to reach tuburan! Hahaha! It isn’t just fair for people to adjust to them, when it’s supposedly the government giving its people the best convenient service possible.

This is my friend, Chyll, who posed after she got her clearance today! Yahoooo! The long travel time was worth it for her but not for me..:) I was told that I had a “hit” and I will have to come back after 3 weeks to get my clearance. How is that? Booohooo!

Anyway, It is really just frustrating to experience bad services from govt offices. :( It’s already 2012 but sadly, the services have never improved. Sigh. Okay, enough of this ranting and grumbling. I just wish that my children will never have to experience this in the future. :)

It was not a really bad experience after all. I’ve toured Cebu today in an unexpected way. Haha! I’ve learned lessons and discovered new things. I just never thought I’d reach Tuburan, Tabuelan, Asturias, Balamban and Busay today. :) On our way home, we travelled a different route and I was just seeing mountains all around. It was just awesome. After a looooong day, I was able to see God’s sweetness in His creations. This world is not so bad after all. :)

For those who want to get their NBI clearance in Cebu, my advise is to go to Tuburan and enjoy the ride. <3

The beauty of the ordinary

I am having a wonderful Sunday! We went to church this morning and feasted on the word of God. Nothing can be more beautiful than a morning spent with the Lord. :) The rain today makes my Sunday even lovelier! Hoooray! Heehee..

It’s just an ordinary Sunday (including my favorite ordinary food tempura, fishballs and siomai..teehee :) ) with God’s extraordinary love that made all the difference. I am still amazed at how he loves me. It’s just way beyond what my mind can comprehend. A love so true, so gentle, so perfect. Haaaaaaayyy, I’m just overwhelmed and humbled at the same time. Thank you. Jesus!

I thank you for today, Lord. I thank you for allowing me to see you working down to smallest details of my life. Thank you for Sundays that is so filled with love and happiness. :) I am grateful and will always consider myself blessed. It’s all because of you, Jesus. :D

Happy rainy Sunday! God bless everyone!

Unmerited Favors

My husband, Jay, has been quiet busy the past few weeks (months, i think is most appropriate) for a project that he’s working on. He slept around 5 in the morning today and woke up at 8am because we were meeting a client at around 9. Before heading to the client’s office, we had to drop by somewhere to take photos of the building/lot that is on sale.  I’m blessed to have such a hardworking husband!

We arrived at the client’s showroom and was told to wait, so I was playing temple run and he was looking at the photos he’s taken to ease the boredom. Haha! Finally after some time, a staff came and we were transported to their main office to discuss on the proposal.

God is just so good! We were able to close the deal today and blessings just overwhelm us. :) It’s by God’s grace alone that we are able to experience unmerited favors. He brings us to the right place at the right time. The lord is just so sweet and he has a way to pleasantly surprise us.

It’s a happy weekend for me! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend too! Let’s share some love today.:)

Jay had his haircut tonight (after dinner) and so we went to McDonald’s after for our usual Friday drink. He had coffee and I had my favorite Coke Float. :) Oh yeah, I had a happy face walking back home!

Just after I took shower to prepare for bed, Jay came in with fruits and budbod (suman in tagalog, a rice cake made from glutinous rice, cooked in coconut milk, and steamed in banana leavesfor me. Yay for an early midnight snack! Haha! <3 Life is good. Thank you, Lord!

I am looking forward to a beautiful weekend! <3 Goodnight loves!
